The Beginning of the Story

For centuries gold has been a monetary standard throughout the
world. A symbol of wealth, royalty, and success.

In the 1980’s it reached an all time high at $850.00 an ounce.

In today’s society all the hip-hopers and ballers (slang for someone
who has made it to the big time) adorn themselves with it as a
physical manifestation of wealth and power.

The precious metal is found in everything from name rings to
custom grills (dental apparatus’ over the teeth).

Recently, Peter Aloisson used the metal along with rare blue diamonds
to create an over-the–top cell phone valued near 900,000.

Long before gold became part of someone’s grill or ankle bracelet;
A gift of gold was brought by a wise man to the Christ child.

Some believe the gift was money to finance the trip to Egypt as Joseph
had been warned in a dream to flee there to escape Herod’s wrath.
(Matthew 2:13-15)
Others believe that it was an ordinary gift for a king.
Still others believe there was revelation brought by the bearer of the
gift—a wise man bringing a gift that stands as a symbol of God’s
glory, purity, and immortality. A gift that never looses it’s worth.
This was one of the gifts given to the Christ child. (Note: see

Matthew 2:9-10 for the entire story)

This is the Beginning of the story.
